          About us:
Keinan boers is located in Parksville,KY about   1   hour south of Lexington, KY. We show all over Kentucky mostly at county fairs and IBGA shows all over Kentucky. The gang here at keinan consist of Beth and, Jessica   Johnson. Jessica shows the goats and Beth does alot of the feeding with Jessica helping after school. My name is Jessica and i'm the person who keeps up the website along with 4 others so getting update is hard to do so bear with me when info is not to well updated.

          About are farm:
We run a herd of percentage and fullblood boers on about 20 acres of rolling hills. About 3/4 is woods and the rest is pasture. The does have about 3/4 acess to a barn that fits about 30 goats comfortably and the rest is for hay, food and 2 horse stalls that are fitted with kidding pens during the winter.
We have 2 guard dogs that run freely with the herd of does and have not yet since the 4 years that we have had goats lost 1 goat to a predator attack and are guard dogs are wonderful they will be aggressive to unwanted people unless they are with us and then they are complete puppy dogs so trying to steal a goat from are place would be unreasonable.
We also have a tobacco barn which holds are weaned kids and herd bucks, and also are cattle working facilities and my rabbit herd so this barn is rather busy. Are weanlings are turned out in a dry lot that is less than 1/2 an acre but they have 2 creep feeders that are filled up twice a day along with all the water and hay they could have this pen also houses are show wethers and jr. show does all weanlings stay in here until they turn 6-8 months. Any doe's that aren't show doe's are turned back into the main herd of does at 6 months or when they have been away from there mothers for 1-2 months. We now only breed does when they turn 2 years of age. We feel that this gives them a chance to fully mature before going on to production.
At the back of the barn we have a pasture that is on the hill ( barns are on top of a hill). this pasture leads into the old stripping room of the tobacco barn which is good for the bucks to get out of any bad weather.
Well now that you know every thing about are animals feel free to explore are does and bucks pages to see if any of our goats catch your eye
